Lilypie 2nd Birthday Ticker

The making of Daddy Dear

September 19, 2006

"The feeling is warm, sweet and pure joy…and I felt tears in my eyes, just so thankful, glad and happy"

That is how I feel nowadays when my hubby talk to baby in my tummy. Sometimes, he will start by saying, "Baby, Baby…you must sayang daddy ar…" - Ha! Ha! Ha!…Daddy a bit kiasu already emoticon

And many times, he will snuggle his head near my tummy and kiss, kiss tummy as if he is really cuddlling with a baby that is already born. All I can see from this is the making of a "Daddy", and it comes so naturally. Very, very amazing to me like magic…

You see, my hubby is not really the kind that attract kids or can naturally be affectionate to babies. I have seen innocent kids or toddlers avoiding him many times and he used to tell me that it has always been like that with him. Somehow, kids are a bit afraid of him…there is this aura about him. I once thought, well…probably because he played and sleep with the cat too much when he was young emoticon

"I think that phase will be over soon baby, as Daddy is really busy practising to communicate and be as affectionate as possible with you. Even before you are born, Mommy can see that Daddy loves you very much"

"You are such a lucky girl baby…cause you are gonna have a great Daddy that adores you! Mommy knows Daddy for a long time already, and have not really seen Daddy so affectionate to any girl before, not even when he is courting Mommy okay!…Mommy usually have to make the first move to be affectionate first….kekeke"

But, I am not jealous at all, I just feel really great and wonderful that hubby is so affectionate to baby. Now, I feel relaxed and at ease as we walk through this pregnancy journey together, anticipating baby’s arrival when she is full term. Baby is truly a gift from God! God gave us baby so that we can really learn to love deeper, sacrificial love…Agape Love like how Jesus has loved us all these time emoticon
