Lilypie 2nd Birthday Ticker

Step by Step

November 29, 2007

Zoe has been practising to stand and sit unassisted for a couple of weeks by herself. She can crawl pretty fast if there is an object that excites her and she can cruise on her own without any help. Her babysitter told me that she has been climbing up and down her sofa. Probably its easier at the babysitter’s place as her sofa is pretty low.

Usually when at home, we just let her roam around the house by herself. Just kept an eye on her to make sure she is not putting yucky stuff into her mouth, or doing dangerous stuff like playing with the electrical socket.

Hubby has been encouraging her to walk by holding her hands. Initially, both hands and now only with one hand. Her face will glow and she cannot stop smiling when she is walking. She will giggle and babble all the way. Usually its just a short walk from the living to the kitchen or to the room, but Zoe is happy enough!

Her steps are quite wobbly in the beginning, but now she is getting the hang of it. She is opening her step and walk like a toddler. I am afraid she will get hurt but hubby is the tough type. When Zoe hesitated, he just told her, "Can laa, you can!! Don’t be afraid, Daddy hold your hand! Not 2 hands…1 hand is okay, come!". She followed and just walk holding one hand, just like that!! It amazes me sometimes how words of affirmation like that made even a baby to be confident and achieve something easily.

We walk to the right
and we walk to the left
and we walk…and we walk…
and we walk all day…

I cannot wait for the day when she stood up by herself and take her first few steps unassisted at all and walk to us. That would be the beginning of another chapter - where Zoe will keep both of us busy with her walking adventures!!!
Yet! I am very excited to see her achieve that milestone emoticon
I am gonna take out those shoes Grandma brought for Zoe to let her try it!

What’s goin on!?

November 22, 2007

Thank God I am able to post again today. For the past 2 days, a lot have happened unexpected. I felt like a series of unfortunate events just happen to me…

  • After the last post, my laptop crash in the afternoon, I need to reformat and re-install everything…loose some mails and documents. The IT guy accidentally formatted my backup drive…arrrrgggghhh!!!
  • Daddy got food poisoning on Tue nite, vomitting and purging like mad…poor Daddy looked so pale and tired…
  • Zoe is teething and have been pooing too much. Babysitter did not realise she poo poo little by little and did not clean her up regularly…she got very bad rash at her bottom…it is very bad and this is the 2nd time over a week! It pains me to see her suffer and cry even when she pee. I gotta wash her up every now and then and put the soothing cream for her.
  • My work is catching up and I don’t want to  apply any leave now as I think it is not appropriate.
  • My phlegm and cough been continuing for a month ++ but I am feeling better now…I think I will…

I have two sick babies at home - 1 big and 1 small…

Anyway, I still thank God for these angels He sent me…

  1. WY for standing by me when I needed a helping hand the most. I thank her and her 2 lovely helpful angels from the bottom of my heart. Thanks WY for your help and support! Thanks to my 2 favourite girls (A and H) for sharing your Mommy with Zoe and me for a while yea emoticon
  2. Thanks to my colleague and also my neighbour for the free ride to work and home. He is really kind and considerate emoticon
  3. Thanks to everyone else who know me for keeping us in their prayers…

Life goes on…one day at a time…

I keep my fingers crossed that everyone will be well and good as Christmas and New Year is approaching. We really don’t want to miss out all the fun rite!?

I am also in the midst of planning for Zoe’s 1st Birthday party. It will be at home by the pool. I hope everything turns out well and that everyone will have a good time and good food.

Ooh yea, I need to take out the Christmas tree also, to dust it and put it up…HaHaHa! I just love Christmas and everything that comes with it. I gotta have more stuff like this to cheer me up…hehehe

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…

My Desktop

November 19, 2007

Simon tagged me this long time ago, I just could not find time to do it until today when I am already in office at 7:50am. Yea, the first few to be in office, it is so quiet but I kinda like to be early. It gives me a sense of in control and that I have a lot of time to warm up to my work - like starting the work day with a blog! emoticon

Okay, here you go, my desktop…

My Desktop

My baby girl keeps me motivated to work emoticon

I won’t tag anyone so early in the morning…hehehe

Connected From Home

November 15, 2007

I have not been posting for almost a month, geezz…am I that busy!?

Well, if I were to explain, there are many reasons - new job, training, brain killing assessment, etc. etc. etc…

BUT as of yesterday nite, my screamyx is finally up…finally, finally…after months of trying to resolve some technical issue by TM. At last, there was this strange guy that called up hubby and told him some forms are not signed and they cannot process the bill. Hubby told him off asking for what forms and bills since the line was not up since day 1. In a matter of minutes, after a few talk to another technical fella, we are online! I am still wondering what the fuss it was all about for the past few months…Hmmph!!!

We are online…online!!! Ha Ha Ha….hahahaahahaha

I can blog at home now, yeahhh…

In order to be more economical and in support of the "muhibbah" spirit, I am sharing line with my new neighbour who coincidentally is also my new colleague in my new company. What a small world heh! Hopefully it is stable, I mean the line…hahaha

So, what did I do since my line is up and I am ONLINE…?

I check out Facebook….hahaha…what!?? I am not sure why but all these cute stuff they have there are so attractive, I need to get away from it and concentrate on my blog. It is getting pathetic, I am sure you can see that. I even failed to sign up for PPP because I did not meet their tiniest criteria…(** malu-nya…hiding face)

Well, well, time to pick up and get going…I need to stay alive…ONLINE…emoticon
