Grilled Lamb Shoulder
We have been having home cooked meals for the past 1 month. It all started when we got really tired of packing outside food. Previously, I just cooked rice and we will packed the dishes from outside restaurant - mainly dishes from a nearby economy rice shop. Recently, the quality of the food there really went downhill, hence the decision to home cook daily. Well…almost daily, maybe 1 day rest from the week to eat outside again…hahaha
I bought a pack of lamb shoulder from Giant as it was selling for only RM11+ for 8 pieces - really a steal! Divided the portions into 2 meals for separate days and these are what I came up with….taaadaaa!
Meal 1

Grilled lamb shoulder with boiled carrots, brocolli and french beans
Add a little thousand island sauce for seasoning

I made the mint sauce also - just simmer the dried mint with olive oil

Easy to cook and not much mess in the kitchen. Seasoned the lamb shoulder overnite to get the best taste. I used the Knorr traditional BBQ sauce with dried thyme to season the meat.
Meal 2

For the 2nd portion, I just used whatever vege I could find in my fridge - these are actually left over from Zoe’s porridge ingredients…hahaha
We have carrots (again!), potato, tomato and corn!!

Home cooked wholesome meals for Daddy, Mommy and even Zoe. She loves sucking on the vege with the juice from the grilled lamb. Yummy! Yummy!

OK….I read your latest column on a typical home cooked meal before reading this Grilled Lamb one….and I have to now say…
DOES MIKE NOW HOW BLESSED HE IS??
Better not let Kevin see this posting! hehehe…..shy only!!
