Daddy is back!
Daddy came back on Monday morning, we only get to see him in the evening when I pick Zoe back from Nanny. How is Zoe’s reaction when she see Daddy after a 3+ weeks?
I constantly tell Zoe when we will be seeing Daddy, thou she might not have any idea about what day or time yet. On the way home, I was also telling her we will be seeing Daddy later at the car park - like how she anticipated everytime, saying "Daddy Daddy!" while pointing to the exact same place where Daddy will be waiting daily.
When Zoe actually saw Daddy, she was rather quiet and unsure. She did not held out her hands to be carried immediately like before. She just sat there and look at me. Daddy continue to unbuckle her seat belts and carry her out. Normally, she will be struggling a bit trying to get out as fast as possible. This time, she just sat there…
It did not took her very long to warm up to Daddy. After getting out of the lift, she already got familiar and bury her head on Daddy’s shoulder, hugging tight. I realised that is her way of showing that she miss someone. A few times when I pick her up from Nanny’s place, she will bury her head on my shoulder, hug tightly and stroke my arm. She did not know how to say it but she show us with her gestures that she miss Daddy.
Once Daddy start showing her the toys he brought back, waaaah…things really got back to normal lah! Zoe resume back her cheeky self - talking, laughing, playing like normal. I guess that is the wonderful thing being a child, all is forgotten when the fun starts!
