It’s 31st Dec 2008 today. I am sitting in the office today without work! That itself is rare and I took the chance to clean up my laptop and defrag the hard disk. Also, most importantly, to ponder about 2008 and give thanks…

2008 has been really good to me generally. It’s the year I stabilize in this job. It’s the year I got a new car that I never knew I will be able to afford. It’s the year I travel to Hong Kong with my family. It’s the year I manage to get Daddy to buy me Coach..lol! All very materialistic…I guess I am still very much a city girl! or Daddy likes to call me - KLCC Mommy! (he nick named me that after I carry Zoe throughout my pregnancy working in Twin Tower and getting very expensive taste due to so much shopping…oops)

It is also the year Zoe start play school - both a challenging and rewarding experience!

It is the year Daddy travel 24 hours to New York for work for 3 weeks. 

It is the year we manage to spend more time with my parents. 

It is the year that we made it to a really nice SG retreat, with 12 adults, 4 toddlers, 2 kids and a pregnant Mommy…

It is also the year that I talk to a friend who lost her baby and I cannot help but cry when I thot of her and her child…

It is the year a motorbike and a Camry hit my faithful little Kelisa, but I learn to let go and not kill those reckless drivers!

It is the year I learned to give more, and take less. I do complain and have ill thots throughout those experiences but I learn to forgive and forget.

It is the year I actually heard so much about politics in my own country and not very proud about it.

It is the year I pump a full tank of petrol in my little Kelisa and paid RM96 for it!

It is the year I received double pay check…finally. It won’t make me a millionaire but I am still happy regardless.

So many things happen and I am glad I get the chance to experience it all…

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 Everyone! Let’s make it an even better year, despite whatever predictions and economy yea!

1. Life is full of excitement when we think positively

2. I smile when I recall all the good times I have with my family and friends

3. I can’t sleep when I was heartbroken, but sleep is not a problem for me nowadays

4. I love the smell of lavendar

5. When I can’t sleep, I read the Bible or pray to God

6. I often dream about getting filthy rich and travelling around the world! lol!

7. I get irritated with arrogant but lazy people…and sometimes the mess Zoe made…

8. I like the sound of Christmas music

9. People often call me Pony

10. I wish I could own my dream home now…

11. The best creation in the world is shoes, I can never have enough of it :p

12. 1st 3 words that comes to my mind: Christmas(something I am looking forward to), Shopping (still had not enough of it) and Birthday (still planning for it)…

13. I’ve discovered that nothing gets done if we don’t make the first move/step into doing it!

14. When I’m in love, I am on cloud 9…everything else takes a second seat

15. A baby is born pure and innocent…till they turn 2 :p

16. Before I met my husband, I never went into the jungle or know how delicious is Kelantanese food…

17. A good marriage requires lots of communication, good food and humour!

18. I dislike reckless driver and people who cut queue…

19. I say ‘I Love You’ everyday to Zoe…sometimes if I remember, to my hubby :p

20. My favourite subject in school was history, althou it’s not entirely the truth!

Yeah…it’s December already! The best month of the year with so many holidays…

It’s also time for me to plan for Zoe’s 2nd Birthday on 1st Jan 09. Last year, I went all out for her 1st Birthday - with a 3D cake and buffet catering. I spent a lot of time doing research and preparing the Birthday deco.

This year, I am thinking just a small family gathering at a restaurant with a cake from secret recipe. I am still gonna custom made the design of the cake, thou its gonna be computer generated…lol. Birthday cake has always been very meaningful to me, I just love beautiful cakes…hahaha

I have to prepare another cake for her play school as well, that will most likely be middle or end of Jan 09. I am thinking of QJelly cake, everytime Zoe see that shop with its jelly cake, she will get all excited and I have to peel her away from it. Since she like it so much, I will get one for her.

I thot I could save on the cake this year, but after some simple calculations, the 2 cake is still gonna cost almost the same like last year…maybe just RM60++ cheaper…sigh…inflation kua!?

Now, I gotta think which nice and kids friendly restaurant to go?

Will appreciate any suggestions here…hee hee

Looks like every year I gotta go thru this cycle again and again…phew

Lucky thing is almost the whole family is Jan babies, including my Mom and my SIL. So all can celebrate together
