I was tagged by Pinky last year on this…and now only I dig out to do. Talking about procrastinate :p

I am still lazy as of today but I manage to sort of get a tool to do this from Baby Center Malaysia instead of Wikipedia. Yeap, we have our own baby center now..woohoo! With tips which are very asian and they have some article about confinement lady. Do hop over for a visit.

Okay, let’s see what’s happening on this day:

1706: Benjamin Franklin, US statesman, writer and inventor, was born

1773: Captain James Cook became the first explorer to cross the Antarctic Circle

1861: The first flush toilet was patented by Thomas Crapper
oh well…hygiene is always important for a lady rite!?

1928: Vidal Sassoon, British hair stylist and fashion designer, was born

1929: Popeye first appeared in a newspaper comic strip
hey, I love spinach too…not in a can thou!

1942: Mohammad Ali, heavyweight boxing champion, was born
my Mom used to said that I can kill 3 tigers when I am angry

1962: Jim Carrey, American actor, was born
err…I think this is not related…

Toddler Talking

I noticed that just the past 1 week, Zoe has added quite a number of words in her vocabulary. She probably pick it up from school or our conversation. It’s really funny the way she talk as it is not that clear sometimes but somehow, I know what she is talking…amazing huh!

These are some of the things I just recalled…

I have been sorta forced to toilet train her as she refuse to wear diapers or diaper pants very often. She can pull out the diaper herself now and also put on her pants and shirts herself. But, she sometimes have difficulties pulling up the pants at the buttock. She came to me the other day and said to me while holding her pants, "Help me!….Mommy…" LOL! (I must be ignoring her too often glueing myself to the tv watching american idol lah)

I was having my dinner late one nite and Daddy was sorta telling me that Zoe was crying when he pick her up from school today. Apparently, the teacher told him that Zoe refuse to share her toys with others but was saying "Share..Share" to others but it meant sharing to herself only. Upon hearing Daddy, Zoe dashed over to me from watching her tv and quickly said this, "Daddy no!…Mommy…boy cry, kor kor cry, che che cry…no share…play..play…"…then she went on and on about she needed to play and the rest got to share with her.
She is actually trying to stop Daddy from telling me her story. She want to tell it herself. When I asked her did she cried. She shook her head and said "No!" She is only 2 years old, but wanna save her face already. I cannot imagine when she is 20…yikes!

We were celebrating youngest SIL’s Birthday and Zoe was having a blast playing with her 2 cousin brother. When one of the cousin climbed up to the slide and stayed on top of the slide for a while, Zoe shouted "You get down!!"…"Share Share!"

Zoe told me, "Mommy…I (want) shee shee". So, I quickly prop her up on the toilet bowl on her toddler seat. After she finish, she said, "Ngg..ngg", so I waited and made some ngg..ngg sound in hope to fasten the process. Then, I heard a fart and she quickly said, "I poot, poot!..hahaha" Thou its smelly but I can’t help to laugh out loud with her…she can be really silly sometimes..

I asked her to clean up her toys after playing. She went around the house calling…"Isa….where (are) you…" or "Dola…where (are) you…" These are characters from Dora the Explorer that comes with her mega blocks. As if they went hiding and she need to look for them…LOL!

She found ants on the floor and she went, "Ant! Ant!"…later.."beat ant..beat ant!"

She found a dead bug on the floor and she went, "Ka Ka!…oh uh…come..see.." (Ka Ka in hokkien literally means bite bite, usually used to refer to something that bites like a bug)

I asked her to wash her hands, she pulled out the step stool, got on top, open the water pipe and start washing, halfway she asked for "soap?"…I put some for her and she continue to wash and said, "Rub, rub, rub…wash hand.." and she will progress to playing with water if I do not stop her.

Recently, I was quite amazed that she can take instructions very well from me. I speak my level of language but she still manage to get the things done right. Maybe being in school makes the difference.
I shall remember to talk more grown up language with her and hope that she can reply me in fuller sentence soon emoticon

Boxing Day at Tony Roma's

January 6, 2009

This happened last year..lol!

On Boxing Day, we decided to head over to Midvalley/The Gardens to have a peep at the Christmas deco there before they put it down. Just right before we got out, Daddy already exclaimed that he wanted something nice to eat for lunch! Haha…(its because we always ended up in Yoshinoya everytime we are in Mid Valley)

We reached MidValley around lunch time and we sorta shortlisted either Tony Roma’s or Paddington’s pancake house after I have read quite some review from bloggers. I decided for Tony Roma’s after looking at the prices, since they are having set lunches which are really better for our pocket lah…

Some pics below…

Daddy and Zoe
Menu and Daddy enjoying the Roma Ribs

Onion Rings
Onion Rings Appetizer - Quite surprised to have onion rings this way but its super delicious!!! (RM12.90)

Roma Ribs
Daddy ordered Roma ribs and we think its the best beef ribs we have ever tasted. It’s quite pricey thou, RM29.90 for 2 ribs but since it’s a set lunch, it came with soup and drink. The mushroom soup is nice too - very wholesome.

Bow Pasta
I ordered this bow pasta to be shared with Zoe (RM19.90 a set with soup and drink). But, Zoe wanted the Roma ribs instead…clever girl!
The pasta is good also but the serving is huge, can feed 2 people.

The restaurant is quiet and not as noisy as Chilli’s or TGI’s :P Just for the ribs, I think we will be back for sure. I also heard that they serve pork ribs (same cooking style) in other countries like Singapore. We will definitely try that porky ribs if we ever head over to Singapore…mmm…mmm….

Zoe's 2nd Birthday

January 5, 2009

We celebrated Zoe’s 2nd Birthday on 1 Jan 2009. All of us woke up rather late in the morning due to watching fireworks from our balcony the nite before. The fireworks were really nice and we could see the ones from Sunway, Genting, and several more at around the neighbourhood.

Got the cake below a day earlier from Secret Recipe and decorated it myself with SIL help in the morning. Really a rush job and the cake was a second option as they run out of Classic Cheese. Since Zoe likes to eat banana, I thot the chocolate banana is a good choice also.

Birthday Cake
Dora and Boots cake

We celebrated in Fullhouse, NZX during lunch time. The place was not crowded when we arrived but it ran out of tables half an hour later. Luckily I have pre-booked.

Blow
Grandma help me blow!

It was not easy lighting the 13 candles on the Birthday cake. The staff in NZX helped me to light them while Zoe and her cousins were screaming in excitement. Imagine the stress…lol! Luckily we were all well fed earlier…hahaha

Cut Cake
Grandma also help me to cut cake!

Can see that my Mom is equally excited celebrating Zoe’s Birthday…she seems to be the Mommy yea…hahaha! I have no choice but to make way for Grandma and Zoe lor…

Elephant ride
Me riding on Jumbo!

We went back to my Mom’s place after the Birthday lunch and as usual, we will end up at the Curve. Zoe had fun sitting on these animal rides that she can maneuver herself. We usually do not let her indulge in these except today cause it’s her Big Day! It is RM3 per ride for about 10-15 mins. Quite worth it lah and it feels so long…She was trying to run over everybody and anything that is on her way.

Zoe is now what some people called pre-schooler, means big girl already but she is getting cheekier by the hour! If you asked me now, I think 2-3 years olds are the hardest bunch to manage. Can drive you up any walls and trees u know!? lol!

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOE!

Mommy and Daddy still thinks you look like the little angel we gave birth to…when you are sleeping…hahaha!
